• Founded the Ceramics Club at the University of Michigan and served as its President for two years

• Studied under Kay Yourist, ceramic artist, including multiple classes and workshops

• Studied under Laura Korch of Trout Ceramics while at the Ann Arbor Art Center

• Assisted with multiple Ceramic Workshops, including the outreach program Ways of Seeing, supervised by Sadashi Inuzuka, ceramic artist and professor at the University of Michigan

• Worked with John Leyland, Ceramics Studio Coordinator at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, concerning the use and management of the University of Michigan School of Art and Design Ceramics Studio

• Worked with Ken Shenstone, ceramic artist, while assisting with the annual firing of the Albion Anagama, a 960 cubic foot wood-fired kiln.
